Maintaining Commitment

Maintaining commitment in your relationships is tough. For most of us (all of us really) it takes intentionality, effort, and a lot of time and practice.

Here are a few strategies that can help keep that commitment level high:

  • Develop or maintain a strong commitment to God.
  • Improve attitudes.
  • Practice acts of kindness.
  • Acknowledge frequently you have a lifelong commitment to each other.
  • Don’t allow competitors to interfere with your commitment.
  • Practice common courtesy.
  • Be one another’s most faithful cheerleader.
  • Develop and demonstrate empathy.

Some of these are very practical while others will take time to develop. Make it a priority this year!
