My 'Blogathletics' Doesn't Really Work…

typingOh man. That was it.

This weekend my wife told me, in the cutest and most loving way possible, that I had gained some weight.

She said it was “cute”.

That’s it. I’m getting in shape. I’m going to get a membership at the local gym and rock it out.

My blogathletics really isn’t working like I had hoped it would…

Apparently typing a lot during the day in front of a computer doesn’t keep you in shape… … Who would have thought?

So… who wants to keep me “accountable?”

  1. I will keep you accountable. Easter Sunday I had an issue with fitting into a pair of pants I bought at Christmas. I will not only hold you accountable, I will join you in your cause…the "our wives need not think we are cute in our pudgy-ness anymore" cause.

  2. i´m always out of shape in winter and then get back in shape when the weather is good enough to skate, but my girlfriend is very bothered that i don´t do anything about it in the winter lol.. but hey, the internet is on an unstoppable quest to become more and more important, maybe one day strong typing skills will attract women… one can dream right? :D

      • HAHA! Look up P90X. Carlos Whitaker is looking to start exercising. I thought you guys would be a great fit. Two flabby bloggers! HAHA, I kid! It's a great program.

I'm in week 7 (of 12 weeks) and I'm seeing amazing strength gains and my clothes are starting to fall off of me. Most of all it's fun! Me and a bud are working out together.

  3. Totally keeping you accountable! I'm all about fitness… especially after losing 75 pounds myself… in fact I'll be running a full marathon two days before the Orange conference. There is no better thing than keeping yourself healthy! Good luck!–Anna

  4. I was under weight when I met my wife. I have gained 50 pounds since then. I am no longer under weight. My wife wanted to join a gym for her birthday. So we did, I take my niece every morning and I work out for 30 to 45 mins. ($8 a month babysitting is totally worth it at LA fitness). And after about four months of her not really going at all, we are trying to go at least three nights a week after work. I have been pretty regular since Nov and have lost about four pounds. But I am in much better shape and haven't really changed any eating habits. Eventually I will either start losing weight or I will have to start eating better. But once working out is a part of your day it really is something I look forward to.

  5. I like the schedule idea. I need some motivation too. If we could start doing some workout/running challenges or something that might help. I too am a getting a bit soft around the middle.

  6. sorry can't help you – I need someone to keep me accountable.
but summer is coming to you right.
so now is the time to start, to press forward and seize the day
too much? yeah I know, I'll tone it down

  7. I coach 2 soccer teams at the moment and I'm running with both groups. plus the wifey has me on a diet. i got sick of all the inner-tube comments and how cute me love-handles were.

  8. dude, my wife put me on a 'don't eat so much' diet about 3 months ago. I have lost over 7kg (+-15 lb) but just eating less and doing a whole bunch of Wii boxing. I cant go to the Gym as That will cut into my Family time. Check this out
