Calvin and Hobbes comics were some of my favorite growing up. I still get a good chuckle if I manage to find one here and there.
Something about a boy and his friendship with a pet tiger… I just get it. Dunno why.
Imaginary friends. I think I still have a few; most of them follow me on Twitter. …
My daughter doesn’t really have any but she really loves her pet elephant. She talks to him.
Like C & H? Did you have imaginary friends when you were young (or old…)?

LOVE C&H. My favorite newspaper cartoon of all time. Ranks ahead of Dilbert and The Far Side personally (though I love those as well). You should look in Barnes & Noble. You can get the compilation books for like seven bucks. I have 2-3 of them.
As for imaginary friends…I don't think I ever did that whole thing. I suppose if I counted talking to myself as a kid (and many times as an adult) it would fit within that. I've had conversations with myself trying to rationalize something or for the purpose of making a decision, but I never turned to the invisible guy next to me and and said, "Hey Steve, what do you think about me buying that new camera?"
or so you think… puaha.
yeah, i've read all of them… i think.
epic stuff.
omg. yes!
home school. great topic to think about. hmm.
POW! FTAWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!
i thought of bruce lee.
Best. Cartoon. Ever.
I love C & H to an unhealthy degree.
**And now a shameless link to a post I put up about C & H a few weeks ago: http://bit.ly/5JVfxc
haha. love it.
Epic is right. One of my favorites is the 'Snowman House of Horror.'

The glorious snowmen. Awesome!
Imaginary friends, duh! I was home-schooled!
Seriously, I don't remember having imaginary friends as much as imaginary enemies… building forts to hide from enemies… hiding from cars coming down the street, etc. I don't remember ever naming them, though.

Calvin & Hobbes FTAW (for the absolute win). I got the entire three book collection last year and it's amazing. My second favorite's definitely The Far Side.
In high school, I used to go to the school bookfair and buy one of each whatever treasury they were selling at the time, then I'd proceed to read 'em in class. I had them taken up so many times.
..I got 'em back, but it required more begging on my part than I care to admit.

Calvin and Hobbes were seriously my favorite too! I have ALL the books! I had a couple imaginary friends when I was a kid… we had a falling out about 15 years ago though and I haven't seen them since.

Calvin & Hobbes – awesome, but more for the clever humour than the imaginary friend.
besides, I am my imaginary friend.

weird..
I loved Calvin & Hobbs… still do in fact, but having a real live 2 year old in your house is pretty much the same thing. I came across this earlier today… thought you would like this episode of C&H: http://img154.yfrog.com/i/7l7.jpg/
sweet! w00t!
LOVE Calvin & Hobbes! Watterson is a genius. My aunt had, I think, the first "book" to come out- I piked it up one day at a family get-together and didn't put it down the entire time. I think I was 8. That Christmas- and for quite a few to follow- I was given 1 or 2 Calvin & Hobbes books. I would spend the rest of Christmas day and Vacation buried in them.
My favorite book in the book series? "Attack of the Deranged Mutant Killer Monster Snow Goons"
My favorite individual comic: Anytime Hobbes waits for Calvin to come so he can pounce on him.
Imaginary friends- yes. As a matter of fact, I used to be schizophrenic, but we're fine now.
Nice pic- where'd you get it?

C&H…FTW! IMO, no other strip even compares. But, I believe that's partially because C&H is a guy thing. To really understand some of the strips, I thing you had to be a little boy at one point.
Of COURSE I had imaginary friends! That explains why C&H is so perfect!! Imaginary friends were never mean to you and always played the games YOU wanted to play.
Anybody for a game of Calvinball???

I did but I didn't. The typical imaginary friends.
But really I was my imaginary friend. I would talk to myself all the time. In my head or out loud I would hold ongoing conversations about everything with myself.
I still do this today. I laugh with myself about things that I see are funny that no one else would ever find funny at all. It is weird, but it provides me with entertainment.
thanks! not sure where it was from!
i still have one today: I call it SELF!
