3 very interesting facts about Christianity in Korea after the break:

• Some sources speculate that up to 50% of South Korea is Christian.  That is absolutely nuts.  (The discrepancies arise because a large proportion of the population does not maintain official membership in a specific religion, regardless of the group in which they are active.)

• The city of Seoul contains 11 of the world’s 12 largest Christian congregations.  The biggest church is called Yoido Full Gospel Church boasting a congregation size of nearly 900 thousand.

• South Korea provides the 2nd largest number of Christian Missionaries, only surpassed by the United States.  (Consider that the population of South Korea is 49 million and the US is 302 million…)
