Insightful but questionable article from TechCrunch today about the coined term “Six Degrees of Separation.”  The hypothesis is that now it’s only 3.

From a online perspective, this is reasonable.  And, in fact, it’s encouraging.  This means that we can reasonable engage with many more people with the Gospel than ever before.

It means making that first contact is easier, and the “trusted source” is much less farther, which is good.

Conversations (or thoughts) like “Hmm… well, I know so and so… and so do they… so I guess I can become their friend on FaceBook.” are more possible!

I’m telling you… Social Media is greasing the wheel for the communication of the Gospel!  Praise God for Technology.
