Add a Space (or Spacers) in Your Dock [Mac OSX]

[tentblogger-vimeo 15987072]

I’ve been asked this question a few times as people have seen it through my videos via Screenflow (screen recording software) so I thought I’d share it here. Watch the video to get an idea of what I’m talking about.

How to Add Spaces to Your Dock:

First, open up “Terminal”:

The copy and paste this into the command line:
defaults write com.apple.dock persistent-apps -array-add ‘{tile-data={}; tile-type="spacer-tile";}’
killall Dock
See:

As you can see I did it a few times and added a few spaces.

Done.

Rinse and repeat for more spaces!

Remove them by just dragging the space away!

Enjoy!
