A Few New Professional Shots for 2012

I had an incredible time with Kevin Geary in his studio a few weeks back to capture a few moments in time with my startup team (take a look at these team pics!) and here are a few of the results.

One of the things that I’m considering this year is working towards a more consistent approach to my brand – I seem to re-invent myself every single year, which isn’t a bad thing, but some order in the madness can help establish a more recognizable imprint (perhaps…) in the community.

I’m not sure where it’ll head or even if elements like the cartoons that I created will stick long-term but that’s ok – I’m up for change all the time!

Take a look a few select shots from the photoshoot and let me know your thoughts! I’m not sure I’m completely head-over-heels in love with any of them which isn’t to say that they aren’t good – I’m just not in love with looking at myself!

I love those headphones, by the way – one of the best investments I’ve ever made: Beats by Dre. They make me very happy when I do my work.

Thanks for your opinions – I really do take them to heart! And if you have any creative ways to use these, I’m all ears!

Way to rock the Thunder Cats t-shirt.

Photos look really sharp. I like the top shot best.

    I envy your headphones. :)

The first one is very authoritative and a perfect CEO shot. The black and white one is the best though and it’s a nice contrast to the CEO shot. It’s disarming and really humanizes you. ThunderCats are Go!

I would have to say my favorite is the second one, with the black/white pic coming in a close second place. All of them are great though! I think I might be due for some more shots… of course, I always down for a photoshoot… lol

Cool photos John. I’d say that the 1st is my favourite with the 4th and 5th tied for second place.

Hi John, I really like the second one it sends an impression of you being relaxed, approachable, and fun. Some shots are one of the things I really need to get done this year. I look forward to seeing which one you choose.

Yes! Having a great picture seems to always add more personality to a site, which causes people to connect more with you when they are able to match a face with your writing.

    John,

This is the first time in 10 years I saw someone wearing a Thundercats t-shirt. Thought Thudercats have gone extinct from the CN jungle.

Anyways, the b&w pic was stunning.
