Isaac Newton: We Are Standing on the Shoulders of Giants

Sir Isaac Newton

Need a bit of a jump start blog topic for the day? A bit of some inspiration to write about? Here’s one for you!

What blogger(s) are you thankful for? Why?

Go ahead and give them public thanks and even some link love if you’ve got the time!

One of my favorite quotes of all time is this from Isaac Newton:

If I have seen a little further it is by standing on the shoulders of Giants.

We have all started learning from someone and we all have nothing but gratitude for those that came before us! I am reminded often that I have come so far and there’s still a lot of great work to be done!

Hi John! I’ve been following you for a couple of weeks now and want to say how much I appreciate your style and your theme and application of “tent blogging.” Your enthusiasm, genuineness, and passion to help others is a blessing and encouragement. Mostly, it’s a joy to call you a brother in Christ. :)

Great topic here and I’m gonna put something together this week on bloggers for which I’m thankful. Looking forward to your future posts!

I have only been blogging for a couple of months now and it all started by hearing a radio interview with Jonathan Acuff and his blog, stuffchristianslike.net. Until then I had not really known or been interested in blogging. I simply went to his site to see why people thought it was funny. It was there that I discovered blogging and the excitement around this media. Shortly thereafter I started my first blog.

So Jonathan Acuff would be the first blogger I would mention.

Next I discovered michaelhyatt.com and have been following his posts on a regular basis. I enjoy his style and openness to his readers, and the fact that he replies a lot to his commenters.

So Michael Hyatt would be the second blogger I would mention.

From Michael Hyatt’s blog I discovered tentblogger.com. So far I have enjoyed your posts and I believe I am learning a lot from them on how I need to manage my blogs. You are also a very open blogger and you interact very well with your commenters. I am looking forward to many more of your posts and learning even more.

So John Saddington would be the third blogger I would mention.

I am still in my infancy with blogging, and I am sure I will find other blogging mentors along my journey.

Just two months ago I had no blogs and I did not read any other blogs as well. Now I have mutantminds.com and gospellab.com, and the thanks goes to:

    Jonathan Acuff
    Michael Hyatt
    John Saddington

    Thanks guys!!!

I feel it obvious that I must thank you. I am receiving your blog via email and although I’ve only been on your list a short time, I’m learning a great deal. I also thank Michael Hyatt (who referred me to you). His blog is also one I wouldn’t want to miss.

Thank you for your blog and tips! Jo Rae
