Giveaway: Free Hosting for a Year via Zyma Hosting!

I don’t do these types of giveaways often because I very protective of my community and want for them to be in the best of hands when it comes to blog hosting - it can make or break your blog, brand, or business!

So I’m always a bit cautious when approached but these guys have a great track record and a comparable service offering to some of the many hosting providers out there so I thought we’d give it a shot!

Zyma hosting is looking for to giveaway 1-year hosting plans to 5 community members here at TentBlogger! Don’t be fooled by the company being located internationally – they have partners and customers in over 80 countries (although if you’re from the UK you might like them because they’re based there) so people here in the US could use their service.

Here are some strategies and reasons that I would consider if you’re interested in winning one of the year-long accounts:

  • Thing specifically about your use. Think about how you might leverage Zyma to experiment with a new business venture, blog, or concept.
  • If things go well you could easily stay with them, move on, or migrate if you wanted (heck, if they’re doing a good job you’ll most likely just stick with them).
  • Review their Feature List to see what they are offering.

As long as you participate and go in with the right attitude you’ll benefit the most. If you want some cliff notes on the top-level features, here it is:

Hey John! Since I’m currently in school to earn a degree in IT, this would be a great way for me to host projects. Thanks for the great giveaway!

  • Marlee @ SweetHealthNut.com

Hey John! I’m currently blogging about natural health, with a focus on recipes, natural acne remedies and skincare options, and mental health. I’ve been expanding my website for over a year now (wow, I can’t believe it! It’s the longest I have ever stayed committed to a blog). These are all issues I’m passionate about as they have had a huge impact on me in recent years. I think about these topics every day as I strive to live a healthier lifestyle – physically and emotionally.

Blogging is a huge outlet for me – as a writer by profession, it’s much easier for me to express what I’m thinking and feeling through writing than any other form. I also want to create a community where others can relate to the same issues and we can learn from each other.

In terms of website development, I’m totally self-taught and I love learning to edit small bits of code to reach the end result I want (even if it takes hours! Ha!). I’m currently using a free webhost and wordpress.org and I’m starting to realize the issues that come with having such limitations. I think it’s about time to move to a new host because I’m very committed to making my website the best it can be.

Thanks for taking the time to read this! Take care :)

        Woohoo! Thanks John!

  • Wes Cole

Hey John, currently I am building WordPress sites for a few missionaries around the world and helping other Christians get sites up that they can manage once it is installed. I have worked hard to provide a way to keep learning how to develop and implement sites in WordPress, but it’s always on their own hosting and sites.
It would be extremely beneficial for me to win the free year of hosting so that I can have my own sites to be able to really learn things without fear of breaking a live site and ruining all the hard work that I’ve already put in, and then use what I learn and implement it correctly on other people’s sites!

    • Wes Cole

Also, I work on these sites for free and thus I have no income coming in from the people I’m helping to pay for my own hosting.

    Hi John,

I’d migrate my site, http://www.becomingsaturated.com over to it since I do not host ads on that site and am committed to giving free Christian content/articles on it.

    Keep up the great work!

I’m currently looking for new hosting to move my primary website to, which I would use Zyma for. iPage doesn’t perform quite as well as one might have hoped!

  • http://www.jmlalonde.com Joe Lalonde

Sounds like a good deal John. I’d use it for my current blog, http://www.jmlalonde.com. My current hosting contract is almost up and I would like to test the waters with another host.

I am currently planning a project to help bloggers with smaller circulations find advertising opportunities. It is in response to friends who either aren’t in the right niche to attract sponsors or don’t fit a niche at all.

Most bloggers I know have a small but committed audience, and I think that can be leveraged. I want to experiment and see what opportunities I can bring to these bloggers whose influence is being over looked.

What prompted the idea was hearing from friends that all they want to earn is $1 from ads this year. I want to make that happen.

I am starting a Tech blog soon so if i get this Hosting from Zyma it will be really helpful to me. I will use Zyma and recommend it to my friends if i am satisfied with their service.

John, I would use Zyma’a annual hosting for a website/blog I’ve been “secretly” (Shh, don’t tell anyone) dreaming about for a few months now.

There are thousands of people around the world that are thinking about writing a book, are in the process of writing a book, or have finished writing a book and are now wondering what they should do next. Many are trying to find/attract a literary agent or publisher and this process can be even more daunting than actually writing the book is!

What my website would do would be to attract writers from around the the world, provide direction throughout the writing/publishing process, help authors find a reputable agent, educate writers about the ever-changing self-publishing landscape, and provide overall inspiration and encouragement for writers who are looking for motivation in order to tackle the next blank page.

My website would allow writers to post queries and samples of their manuscript on my blog so that other writers could give their opinions and feedback to the author so they can make their manuscript better. I would have log-in features, member benefits, a forum, and author web pages. It would also be a hub of sorts allowing editors, book cover designers, website designers, writing coaches, etc. a place to advertise to potential authors.

I’m pretty happy with my current hosting provider, Bluehost, but these guys sound pretty awesome! Did you notice that they have CloudFlare CDN as a part of their feature set? lol

I didn’t notice, do they also have one-click WordPress installs?

  • http://bigb94.info Brandon

I actually do not have a self-hosted blog. Just have it hosted with wordpress.com. This would help me finally move my site over to a self-hosted platform.

    Very cool giveaway!

    • http://john.do John Saddington

sweet! good to see you brandon!

  • http://jasonmlarsen.com Jason L.

Thanks for being candid about your reservations in doing these giveaways, John. It makes me trust them all the more!

I’ve been toying with the idea of offering a ‘complete web package’ to businesses lately – especially small businesses. There are many people that I run into that don’t want to even think about hosting, domain name, etc.

So, how would I potentially use Zyma? I would use the first year as a test to host my landing page for that ‘complete business web solution’ package. Then, I would use their reseller program (glad to see they have one!) to setup clients with web hosting, that they can eventually control if necessary, but I can control in the meantime.

That is how I would use Zyma in a nutshell!
