So… we’re now into the big season of just building. There’s nothing entirely sexy about this part of building a product and there’s nothing much to show, to be honest.
Continuing on and sharing some more screens and designs for version 2.0, here’s a look at what the WordPress interface and experience will look like:
Boy, do I love that:
For those that are interested, here’s a running list of things (i.e. tools) that I’m using to put Teeny together:
The slow grind of building software is just that – it can be a really slow grind. There are times when you feel like you’re not making any progress and there are times when you just sit quietly in front of the computer screen and… nothing… happens… for… a… long… time…
And then, you get up, get a drink from the fridge, go work out, grab a meal, take a quick nap, and you realize that nothing is really happening still.
I have discovered this plain and simple fact: Discipline is of far greater use and has a much wider (and deeper) level of utility than passion.
No one loves being disciplined, as kids and as adults. I suppose the stakes are higher when you’re an adult than when you’re a kid but it stings all the same.
My wife and I have to discipline our two daughters all the time. This shouldn’t be a surprise, in general, but what I am surprised is the fact that it hurts me a lot to do it.
Before I start really building out and engineering the core product I’ve taken a few moments to review some of my other concepts and see if there are any “gems” that I want to keep.
