I just finished walking through this 90-day devotional with my brother, which was super low-friction and required very little overhead.
But, the title might be a little bit misleading since it does take much more than 2 minutes of your time.
Why? Well, because reading that day’s devotion is just half of the work (if not less), especially if you spend time reading the connected scripture and/or spend time in prayer or meditation.
But that’s neither here nor there – the daily lessons are thought-provoking, encouraging, and challenging; they became part of my morning routine and I’m quite thankful for it.
I have found that the spiritual side of my life is one that can be invested in as much as many of the other parts of life – it’s just harder to know if you’re making progress (unlike working out or losing weight).
But, you feel it and in aggregate, over time, you can look back and see the steps taken, the investments being made, and you know that you’re a better person for it.
Or, at the very least, you see even more clearly how far you still have to go.
