I really do love this via Maya Angelou:
There is nothing quite so tragic as a young cynic, because it means the person has gone from knowing nothing to believing nothing.
We must fight cynicism from every angle. We must endeavor to bring hope into our world through the people that we serve and that we love and that we want to be with and work for.
Being cynical is unfairly easy to do… just decide and believe that everything is worthless and not worth doing and that the results don’t matter.
And you know what… it’s inherently lazy to boot. No one wants to work or be with a lazy person… heck, you don’t want to be a lazy person.
So don’t be lazy and don’t be cynical.
