On Gudetama

Love this so much:

It’s interesting how it’s most loved characteristic is that it’s insanely lazy and melancholy – and this resonates with folks! I guess I can understand that.

Interesting commentary on lines, colors, and good and evil.

After having lived in Tokyo, Japan for nearly four years, I got to see a lot of these cute characters and even the kawaii (かわいい) culture but I had no idea what they really meant and the depth of their meaning, to be sure.

But, is this what we really need? Are things that bad that we need these types of characters to help us cope?

Fascinating things to think about – maybe we all need our own little version of a Gudetama to get through.
