Healthy Relationships [Infographic]

This is a good reminder and something worth reviewing:

  • Admits mistakes (or when wrong)
  • Accepts responsibility for behaviors, attitudes, and values

  • Refusing to intimidate or manipulate
  • Respecting physical space
  • Expressing self non-violently

  • Communicates openly and truthfully

  • Support each others choices
  • Being understanding
  • Offering encouragement
  • Listening non-judgmentally

  • Asking not expecting
  • Accepting change
  • Making decisions together
  • Willing to compromise
  • Win-win resolutions to conflict

  • Accepting each others’ word
  • Giving the benefit of the doubt

All great things to be looking out for in your personal and professional relationships. It’s the latter, though, that’s gotten me thinking quite a lot about my history of employment, those I’ve partnered with for startups and new ventures, and even as I consider new roles with new companies.

Trust and developing an organization around trust is so fundamental.
