Some of the fondest, career-centric memories that I have is working with my brother in an outrageously-lit office building in Jacksonville, Florida, where we built out some prototype examples of what the “future” of the web might and could be.
One of my projects that I was most-proud of was creating an animated version of our e-commerce platform (for
ACUVUE contact lenses) as we expanded into the Japanese market — I was tasked with building out a “future state” platform that might take advantage of a growing trend of “interactivity” on the web.
This effectively laid the foundation for a life-long career in software and technology. Long live flash.
