Machine Learning and Autism

Of course this is fascinating to me:

Researchers at the Signal Analysis and Interpretation Laboratory at USC want to take a holistic approach to autism. Aside from targeting screening and diagnosis instruments with machine learning, the researchers are working to create quantitative measures of human behavior based on audio, video, and physiological sensors through signal processing.

Our lives as humans, with all of the complexities and idiosyncrasies and the things that we know that are broken inside (and the many things that we aren’t quite yet able to put a finger on) are slowly and surely being made better with advancements in technology.

Medicine + technology is a great field to be in.
