Managing the Changes in Culture

We do not always have the opportunity to manage the cultures of change – we can only craft the raw materials that we are inevitably given.

As a leader you are often handcuffed by the quality of those raw materials. You may even be frustrated or upset, but rarely does this have to do with the raw materials themselves. It has to do with how you lead them. You, the leader, are tasked with curating and crafting it in such a way that the rough and raw materials get to shine their very best – if they’re not then you, YOU my friend, are holding them back.

Embrace changes in culture. Embrace the ambiguity, the tension of managing raw materials, and harness them well. It’s not an “if” scenario, it’s a “when.”
