What is Real and What is Not

We’ve come a long way, haven’t we?

A picture may no longer be worth a 1,000 words. These days the picture that the camera takes may well not be the picture that we end up seeing in newspapers and magazines. Technology makes it difficult, maybe even impossible, to tell what’s real and what’s not.

I love what Russell Brown has to say:

I see this [Photoshop] as a tool that I have and I will never give it up.

Pressgram is a tool, just as many of the other apps, and stands in the line of a historic tradition of technology challenging paradigms of thought.

I believe that most people who sign up for services never actually read the TOS or understand the rights and privileges that they are giving away or compromising. I think great products and great technology thinks for the majority, serves them (even in their ignorance), and acts and functions on the user’s best interests.

With great power comes great responsibility (Thanks Uncle Ben!).
