The most important thing that you must remember when you meet anyone on the spectrum is that… you’ve just met one person on the spectrum. Every single person is wildly-different in ability, behavior, and communication; just like every neurotypical as well.
In fact, if we were to take the largest understanding of “spectrum” — and this is why I like this word so much — we could essentially just say that the entire human race sits squarely on one, single spectrum band of behavior and abilities and be done with it.
Because, that’s kind of the truth. Truth soup.
