Greatest Strength is the Culture…?

These two comic strips via Dilbert had me chuckle:

These cartoons are especially poignant considering the fact that I’ve begun seriously thinking through the expansion and growth of our team over at Pinpoint and how growing the culture is really about adding folks to the team, at the most fundamental level.

The greatest asset that a company has is its people. The culture, I think, is a byproduct or rather is something that explains what is actually happening and taking places. These are ideas and believes and behaviors.

Culture is documented process, as I like to call it, and the people is what’s really going on. And building a culture based on trust instead of suspicion is paramount.

I’m excited to begin working on it again. Every time I hope to do it better.
