A Simple Way to Add Tweets into Your Blog Posts

I had forgotten about this sweet little WordPress Plugin but was reminded the other day as I attempted to add a tweet into my blog post.

Historically on this blog I’ve posted screenshots of the tweet (like right here) but I remembered that there is actually a much better way to pull this off!

As you can see above (and below) I can have much more engaging (and interactive) tweets right in my blog post:

Pretty neat, right?

As you can see we have the actual link to the tweet as well as clickable links including hashtags and other twitter members!

What plugin does all this with a little shortcode? Blackbird Pie!

Install it and then you’ll see a new little icon in your blog post admin panel:

A neat little icon!

Clicking that will open up and little overlay screen and you can copy in a direct link to a tweet or the actual tweet ID:

As simple as copying and pasting...

Or, you can even search for a tweet directly and then just click the right one!

Wow, that was easy!

I’d highly recommend adding this feature to your blog so that you can get the most out of Twitter!
