Zendesk is so Zenovative

I’ve had a blast using Zendesk (the system we use for Support) and they recently released a real-time mapping system to show ticketing worldwide.

They also have a musical player they call FM3:

You know a business has the right culture when the spend the time and resources to develop apps that are outside of their core offering – it keeps them innovative and fresh. I call that Zenovative.

Yes, I just made that up.

But, is your organization keeping it fresh and innovative? When was the last time you spent any resources outside your core service/product offering that wasn’t an offsite retreat to brainstorm about stuff that you’ll never execute on?
